Cuttack, Jan 31: The Cuttack Development Authority (CDA) successfully conducted the first village-level stakeholder public meeting on the proposed Town Planning Scheme–1 on Saturday at the Baranga Block Office.

The meeting witnessed active participation from landowners of Ratagarh-Lenkasahi and Chandiprasad villages, reflecting strong public engagement in the planning process.

The meeting was chaired by CDA Vice-Chairman Kirandeep Kaur Sahota, and was attended by Secretary Dr. Sweta Kumar Dash, Assistant Town Planner-cum-Nodal Officer of TP Scheme Bishnu Prasad Sahoo, Administrative Officer Janak Kumar Nayak, along with other senior officials of the CDA.

The objective of the meeting was to discuss matters related to land, planning proposals, development provisions and the allotment policy under Town Planning Scheme–1. The Nodal Officer of the TP Scheme explained the salient features of the scheme, including planned infrastructure development, improved road connectivity, provision of public amenities and orderly urban growth. Landowners were encouraged to share their views, suggestions and concerns during the interactive session.

Addressing the gathering, the Vice-Chairman emphasized CDA’s commitment to transparent governance and inclusive planning, stating that public participation is central to the successful implementation of town planning schemes. Officials assured the landowners that their feedback would be duly considered during the formulation and execution of the scheme.

The meeting concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, reflecting strong public interest and cooperation. CDA reiterated its resolve to continue engaging with stakeholders at every stage to ensure sustainable, citizen-centric urban development under Town Planning Scheme–1.
