Cong stands as alternative for good governance in Odisha : Ajoy Kumar

Bhubaneswar, March 14: Ajoy Kumar, Odisha Congress in-charge, proclaimed that the grand old party stands as the immediate alternative for good governance in OdishaHe accused the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)  of concealing their alleged misdeeds. Kumar asserted that the people of Odisha would reject the alliance in the upcoming elections due to issues of corruption, unemployment, and deteriorating law and order during the BJD’s tenure.

Addressing party meeting at the Jeypore Dusshera ground, he questioned why investigative agencies like the CBI and ED haven’t probed into Odisha’s mining and chit-fund scams.

Furthermore, Ajoy Kumar insinuated that the alliance was strategically planned to seek relief from inquiries under the BJD governance in Odisha. Sarat Kumar Patnaik, the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief, affirmed the party’s readiness to combat the BJD-BJP alliance independently, emphasizing that the Congress is dedicated to genuine development of the state.

Notably, PCC women’s wing president Minakhi Bahinipati, Koraput MP Saptagiri Ulaka, and Jeypore MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati criticized both the BJD and BJP for their failure to deliver effective governance. 

They urged party supporters to mobilize grassroots efforts, particularly in tribal areas, to strengthen the party’s electoral prospect
