Bhubaneswar, October 4: Newly-appointed BJP’s Odisha in-charge D Purandeswari and co-in-charge Swadesh Singh on Sunday attended a key organisational meeting with the district In-charges, district unit Presidents and State office bearers at the party headquarters here to review the party’s strategy for the upcoming panchayat and civic body elections in the State.
On her first visit to Odisha after being reappointed as the Prabhari for Odisha, Purandeswari said that the party remain committed to further strengthening its organisation in Odisha.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and State BJP president Manmohan Samal were also present in the meeting.
“Held a meeting at the Odisha BJP State Office with the State President, District In-charges, District Presidents and State Office Bearers. Had detailed discussions on the party’s organisational activities, upcoming programmes, the functioning of Morchas, and strengthening the party at the grassroots level,” Purandeswari posted on “X’.
“We also discussed the necessary roadmap to effectively advance party programmes by staying connected with the people and ensuring better coordination among our Karyakartas. Under the guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and the leadership of National President Shri Nitin Nabin Ji, we remain committed to further strengthening the BJP organisation in Odisha,” said Purandeswari.
Notably, Purandeswari and her deputy arrived Swadesh Singh arrived in Bhubaneswar on Saturday on a two-day visit to the State.
After their arrival, the two leaders held marathon meeting with the party’s State and district functionaries at the BJP State headquarters in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. Issues of organisational activities and preparations for the upcoming panchayat and municipal elections was the major agenda of the meeting.
Purandeswari, a former Union Minister handled the Odisha organisation from 2020 to 2022 and proper coordination between the party and its Government will be her key responsibility this time.
