Odisha CM Majhi to hoist I-Day flag in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Aug 12: The Odisha government has announced the schedule for the flag-hoisting ceremonies on the 78th Independence Day, to be celebrated on August 15.
According to the list of ministers and administrative officers assigned to participate in the Independence Day ceremonies across the state, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will hoist the Tricolour and take the salute in the state capital, Bhubaneswar. His deputies, KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida will preside over the I-Day events in Nuapada and Cuttack, respectively.
Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari will hoist the national flag in Kalahandi, while Rural Development Minister Rabi Narayan Naik will unfurl the Tricolour in Sundargarh. School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond is set to hoist the flag in Koraput, and Food Supplies Minister Krushna Chandra Patra will preside over the ceremony in Nabarangpur.
Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan will unfurl the Tricolour in Ganjam, and Health Minister Dr Mukesh Mahaling will perform the honours in Bargarh. Commerce and Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, Housing and Urban Development Minister Dr Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, Forest and Environment Minister Ganesh Ram Singkhuntia, Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, Cooperation Minister Pradeep Dhal Samanta, Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Minister Gokulananda Mallik, and Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain will hoist the national flag in Gajapati, Balasore, Balangir, Malkangiri, Khordha, Kandhamal, and Rayagada, respectively.
In the remaining districts of Puri, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Angul, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Dhenkanal, Berhampur, Rourkela, Bhadrak, Boudh, Deogarh, Jajpur, Kendrapara, and Nayagarh, the district collectors will take charge of the flag-hoisting ceremonies.
