Balasore, Nov 16: In a tragic incident at the Nilagiri Sub-divisional Hospital in Odisha’s Balasore district, a dedicated doctor collapsed and died while attending to patients in the OPD.

The deceased has been identified as Dr. Trinath Pal, an obstetrics and gynaecology specialist who also headed the hospital’s blood bank.

According to sources, Dr. Pal suddenly complained of chest pain and collapsed in the hospital washroom. Despite being rushed to Balasore District Headquarters Hospital, he succumbed to a heart attack en route.

The news has sent shockwaves through the medical community, with colleagues and staff expressing deep sorrow over the loss of a respected and valued team member.

Dr. Pal’s untimely death has left a somber mood at Nilagiri Hospital, where he had served with dedication.
