Close call for Yatra Troupe as bus skids off canal road in Odisha

Puri, May 5: In a narrow escape, over 50 artists from a Yatra troupe survived after their bus veered off the road and partially hung over a canal embankment near Nuasantha in the Nimapada block of Puri district.
The incident occurred when the bus, identified as belonging to the 'Opera Rajnandini' troupe, reportedly lost balance while navigating the narrow canal-side road. The vehicle slipped off the embankment and came to a precarious halt, with half of it dangling dangerously over the edge.
Thanks to timely action and sheer luck, no casualties were reported, and all artists are said to be safe. Local authorities and passersby assisted in bringing the situation under control.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway.
