Balangir, Aug 27: Classes in the Kendriaya Vidyalay (KV) at Badmal Ordnance Factory in Odisha’s Balangir district were suspended on Tuesday after a leopard reportedly entered the school premises on Monday night.
Based on the inputs of some local onlookers, forest officials initiated an operation to spot the big cat whereas the school was announced closed for the students to get rid of possible mishap.
According to report, a leopard reportedly barged into the KV at night and hid somewhere in the green campus..
On being informed, police and forest officials rushed to the spot and undertook an operation to guide the animal into the forest.However, it was not found anywhere after a tiring search operation.
Following this, the forest officials installed trap CCTV cameras in various points in the school to monitor the movement of the leopard. Apart from it, security personnel and forest crew were found keeping a close watch on the entire area.
