NEW DELHI, October 10:The Supreme Court will hear on Sunday a petition seeking contempt proceedings against authorities for allegedly violating its directions to ensure that metro and train services are not brought to a “complete prohibition” in view of the CJP protest in Delhi.
According to the cause list for October 11 uploaded on the Supreme Court’s official website, the matter will be heard by a bench comprising Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V. Mohana.
The petition has been filed by advocate Shailendra Mani Tripathi, who has sought the initiation of contempt proceedings against the authorities concerned over the alleged non-compliance with the court’s directions.
The respondents named in the plea include Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) chairperson D. Thara.
