Bhubaneswar, Feb 7: Valentine’s Week arrives wrapped in the seven hues of love, touching even those hearts that were once broken and forgotten. During these days, love is felt again—not merely as a relationship, but as memory, longing, silence, and hope. For some, the week brings laughter and celebration; for others, smiles hide moist eyes. And there are many who, despite being alone, continue to hold someone close within their hearts.

This seven-day journey of love begins on February 7 with Rose Day and gently unfolds until February 14, when Valentine’s Day marks its culmination. Each day adds a new shade of emotion, filling lovers with renewed excitement and anticipation.

With the arrival of Valentine’s Week, a visible sense of eagerness spreads among the youth. However, the celebration is no longer limited to young couples alone. Married couples, too, are embracing the spirit of the week, sharing moments of togetherness on social media. Photographs with spouses, accompanied by romantic quotes, flood timelines throughout the seven days, reflecting how love continues to evolve beyond courtship.

Rose Day, the first day of the week, holds special significance. It becomes the moment when unspoken feelings finally find expression. A single rose, carried in the hand and backed by a heart full of emotion, often says what words cannot. As a result, flower shops come alive with vibrant displays of roses in every color, each symbolizing a different emotion.

Among them, blood-red roses remain the most sought after, especially among the younger generation. Rising demand has led to an increase in prices, yet enthusiasm remains undeterred. Despite the higher cost, buyers continue to throng the flower markets. On Friday, markets witnessed heavy crowds as people eagerly searched for the perfect rose. Red roses are priced at ₹40, while larger blooms cost up to ₹50. Similarly, colored roses are available starting from ₹40.

As Valentine’s Week unfolds, it once again proves that love—whether new, remembered, or quietly cherished—continues to find its way into human hearts.
