Bhubaneswar, March 26: Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, is coming to Odisha on a 3-day official visit that on Friday.

During his stay in Odisha, General Dwivedy will participate in a series of key programmes across Bhubaneswar, Puri, and Gopalpur, relating to national safety & security.

According to sources, General Dwivedi is scheduled to visit Puri after his arrival at the Bhubaneswar BPI Airport in the evening tomorrow.During his stay at Puri, he is also expected to have darshan and offer prayers at the Jagannath Temple.

Following his Puri visit, the Army Chief will leave for Gopalpur to visit the Army Air Defence College. There, he will review training infrastructure, modern equipment, and operational preparedness of the forces.

General Dwivedi is also slated to interact with serving Army personnel and veterans during his stay. Additionally, a live firing demonstration and display of advanced military equipment will be held at a field firing range as part of the visit.

After concluding his engagements in Odisha, the Army Chief will return to New Delhi on March 29.
