Chhatrapur, Aug 31: The Odisha vigilance sleuths conducted a simultaneous raid at six places of Block Education Officer (BEO), Chhatrapur in Ganjam district for allegedly accumulating assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The raids have been carried on the property and office of Sitaram Patra, who works as a Block Education Officer (BEO) in Chhatrapur.
Sources said, the Odisha Vigilance led by 5 DSPs, 4 Inspectors, 5 SI/AsIs, and other supporting staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Hon’ble Special Judge.
The raid is being conducted at his office in his double-storeyed residential building at Ramakrishna Nagar, 7th Lane, near Khodasingh, Berhampur, Flat No.304 at Saradhabali, 1st Lane Bijay Tower-2, Khordasingh, Berhampur, double-storeyed building at Kolisahi, Polasara, Ganjam, another building at Kolisahi, Polasara, Ganjam, house of his relative at Kalinganagar, Berhampur and Office of BEO, Chhatrapur, Ganjam.
Till the last reports were filed, the raids were still underway.
