The incident occurred when some residents of Benisagar village, including the two victims, ventured outside their homes to observe the elephant that had entered the village overnight. However, as the villagers watched, the elephant suddenly began to chase and attack them. While most managed to flee, two young men were unable to escape in time and were fatally attacked by the wild animal.
