New Delhi, Ap 15: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is anticipated to announce the Class 10th results shortly. Once declared, students can access their results on the official CBSE websites: results.cbse.nic.in and cbse.gov.in. More than 25 lakh students are eagerly awaiting the results of this critical examination.
DigiLocker, the government’s cloud-based platform for official documents, has confirmed that the CBSE Class 10 results will be issued soon. Additionally, a post by the Umang app has further reassured students, stating that the results will be available "soon."
This year, the CBSE Class 10 exams are being conducted under a two-board system, which includes two separate examination sessions. The first board exam, which was mandatory for all students, took place from February 17 to March 11, 2026. Results for this mandatory attempt will be available on the official CBSE websites once announced. The second board exam, however, is optional and provides students with an opportunity to improve their scores from the first session. This optional exam is scheduled from May 15 to June 1, 2026, and follows the same syllabus as the first session.
Under this new two-board scheme, students can opt to improve their scores in up to three subjects during the second examination. Those who failed in two subjects in the first exam will be placed in the compartment category, allowing them to appear in the second board exam. However, students who failed or did not appear in three or more subjects will not be eligible for the second examination and will have to appear for the main board exams in 2027.
According to the board's data, a total of 25,08,319 students were registered for this year’s exams. Of these, 14,08,546 were male and 10,99,773 were female. The Class 10 exams were conducted across 8,075 exam centres, covering 83 subjects.
For reference, last year’s CBSE Class 10 results were declared on May 13, 2025. Out of the 23,85,079 students who registered, 23,71,939 appeared for the exams. Of these, 22,21,636 students successfully passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 93.66%.
