Puri, Feb 2: Renowned sand artist Manas Sahoo has created a special sand art in Puri to welcome President Droupadi Murmu, who is arriving in Odisha today. As preparations for the President’s visit reach the final stage, the artwork has drawn attention for its creative depiction of her Puri visit and prayers before Lord Jagannath.

President Murmu is scheduled to visit Puri on Tuesday, where she will offer prayers at the Shree Jagannath Temple and perform shraddha rituals at Swetaganga. The sand animation by Manas Sahoo, completed in nearly two hours, carries the message, “Welcome to Puri, Odisha.”

According to official sources, the President will arrive in Puri on the evening of the 3rd and stay overnight at Lok Bhavan. On Wednesday morning, the 4th, she will visit Swetaganga to perform pinda daan, followed by darshan at the Shree Jagannath Temple. After completing her engagements, she is scheduled to depart Puri for Rairangpur at around 9 a.m.*
