New Delhi, July 23: The Finance Minister announced plans to launch "Purvodaya," aimed at comprehensive development across Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh. Emphasizing the initiative's goals, the government allocated Rs 26,000 crore for various road projects specifically in Bihar.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had previously underscored Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision for focused development in Eastern India, aiming to unlock the region's potential for driving the next phase of national growth. This initiative, known as Mission Purvodaya, highlights the pivotal roles of both the petroleum and steel sectors in this endeavor.
