New Delhi, January 31: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to present her ninth consecutive Union Budget on Sunday, a historic milestone, with particular focus on expected customs reforms that have generated significant anticipation.

When Sitharaman first presented the Budget in 2019, she made a memorable break from tradition by replacing the leather briefcase, which had been used for decades, with a red cloth-wrappedbahi-khata. Continuing with the trend of modernization, this year's Budget will again be presented in a paperless format, as has been the practice in recent years.
