Patna, September 10: At least six people were injured after a portion of an under-construction bridge collapsed in the Jalalpur area of Bihar’s Vaishali district on Thursday, officials said.
The incident occurred while construction work was in progress. A large section of the bridge structure suddenly gave way, sending construction materials and steel components crashing to the ground.
Six people sustained injuries in the collapse and were taken for medical treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
Following the incident, a large crowd gathered at the site, while further details regarding the cause of the collapse and the identities of those injured are awaited.
