Nayagarh, Nov 12: At least seven individuals sustained injuries, with two in critical condition during a violent altercation between rival groups in Harijan Sahi, within Odisha’s Nayagarh district. The wounded include members from both sides.
The critically injured, identified as Ranjith Nayak and Deepak Nayak, have been relocated to a medical center in Cuttack for advanced treatment.
Reports indicate that a faction led by Ranjit launched a bomb attack on their adversaries due to prior animosity, resulting in the detonation of a crude explosive that injured seven village residents.
Upon receiving notification, a team from the Khandapada police station swiftly arrived at the village, successfully de-escalating the situation. The police promptly transported the injured to the local Gania Hospital. Later, the two critically injured individuals were transferred to Cuttack for further medical care.
