Titled “Ajey: The Untold Story of a Yogi,” the film had been caught in a legal tussle after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) raised objections and delayed its clearance. The CBFC had alleged that the film did not comply with provisions of the Cinematograph Act, leading to a halt in its release.

Mumbai, August 27: Good news for cinema enthusiasts as the much-anticipated biopic on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has received the green light from the Bombay High Court.

Responding to a petition filed by the filmmakers, who accused the Censor Board of unnecessary delays, the Bombay High Court took up the matter and decided to personally review the film. After screening the scenes flagged by the CBFC, the Court found no objectionable content and subsequently allowed the film’s release.

The High Court's decision comes as a major relief to the film’s producers and has paved the way for its release in the near future.
