Puri, September 7: Bodies of a youth and a girl have been recovered from Puri railway track on Thursday evening.
The deceased have been identified from their Aadhar cards as Jatin Shankar Padhi and Truptimayee Sahu, daughter of Santosh Kumar Sahu.
The GRP Puri has seized the bodies and initiated an investigation into the matter.
Sources said, the GRP Puri spotted two distorted bodies near Platform no. 2 at the Puri Railway Station in the evening. The bodies were found scattered on the railway track whereas the Aadhar cards of the deceased were thrown a few meters apart.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the address of the deceased, and the reason behind the mishap, said the Investigation Officer.
