Bhubaneswar, Dec 6: After ‘Mission Nuapada’ for Odisha BJP, appointments of office bearers in state Boards & Corporations, are among top priorities before the Odisha government.
The Nuapada byelection concluded recently with a high note & joyous experience for the ruling BJP as BJP nominee Jay Dholakia won the prestigious battle with a landslide victory that made the ruling BJP more enthusiast and industrious.
Now, the Odisha government and the Odisha BJP as well, do focus on the state’s statutory bodies that are the Boards and Corporations, wherein the post of chairpersons and member are lying vacant.
The Mohan Majhi-led Odisha government and BJP’s top brass are now set to resolve the statutory provisions with nominating chairpersons and filling up the vacancies with righteous members for the state-level organizations.
While Manmohan Samal, Odisha BJP chief had earlier shed light on the crucial matter during his Delhi visit, BJP state in-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar indicated that the chairs will be filled in soon with the befitting leaders who have significant obligations for the party and commitment for the people of Odisha.
While celebrating the thumping victory of Jay Dholakia in the BJP state headquarters in Bhubaneswar, Tomar said, Chairpersons & members for Boards and Corporations will be announced soon with the consent of the state leaderships.
The faces are almost finalized. Approvals of central & state BJP brass are also expected soon, added Tomar.
Adding a concrete & fresh timeline for the political configuration in restructuring the government organization, Odisha BJP Chief Samal said the exercise would be concluded by January 2026.
While interacting with the pressers, Samal underlined that the functions of the boards and corporations are quite phenomenal for sustainable governance. Thus, leaders are almost finalized for the posts according to their merits for the concerned assignments. Formal announcement is awaited that is likely to be made before the New Year.
Worth mentioning, several Odisha boards and corporations, statutorily constituted for better public service & robust governance, are yet left captainless during almost 16-month tenure of the BJP reign.
