BMC restricts entry of devotees to Ananta Vasudeva temple for ‘Ananta Brata’

Bhubaneswar, Sep 18: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today banned the gathering of devotees at the Ananta Vasudeva temple for ‘Ananta Brata’ which will be celebrated on Sunday. The restriction has been imposed in view of Covid-19. An order in this effect was today published by the BMC. As per the notification, there will be no public gathering, public darshan, mahaprasad sevan of any kind in the temple for ‘Ananta Brata’ celebration. However the usual temple rituals will be performed by sevayats by adopting strict Covid protocol. The temple administration has been asked to ensure that only fully vaccinated sevayats to be permitted with proper use of mask and maintaining social distancing among themselves. The temple administration has also been asked to provide hand sanitizers for sevayats at the temple premises.
