Bhubaneswar, Aug 19: In a move to strengthen cleanliness efforts and ensure regular monitoring of development activities, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner has directed all senior officials to visit wards on a routine basis.
As per the new order, every officer will conduct field inspections three days a week. A total of 32 officials, including all Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, and Executive Engineers, have been assigned responsibilities across different zones of the city.
The initiative aims to intensify cleanliness monitoring while expediting ongoing developmental works. Authorities believe that consistent field visits will help identify and address local issues more effectively, ensuring Bhubaneswar’s progress towards a cleaner and better-managed city.
According to BMC, such practices will also enhance community participation, with progress achieved through shared responsibility and citizen involvement.
