New Delhi, October 20: A blast outside the CRPF school in Prashant Vihar, Rohini, New Delhi, early Sunday morning prompted a major investigation involving teams from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), the National Security Guard (NSG), and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL).
The Delhi Police and Special Cell are also involved in the probe, although no conclusive statements have been made yet on the cause of the explosion.
The blast caused damage to the school's wall, shattered nearby windows, and damaged a parked car, but no injuries were reported. Authorities suspect the explosion may have involved a crude bomb, with further clarity awaited from forensic reports. The area has been cordoned off, and heightened security measures have been implemented in Delhi before the Diwali festival.
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the law and order situation in the capital, blaming the central government for negligence in maintaining security. She likened the current situation to the 1990s underworld era in Mumbai, pointing to rising crime incidents. Atishi also accused the BJP of focusing on obstructing the work of the Delhi government rather than fulfilling its responsibilities.
