Bhubaneswar, May 5: BJP National President JP Nadda today released party's 'Sankalp Patra' (election manifesto) ahead of assembly elections in Odisha.
BJP has made 21 promises in the manifesto. It promised to parocure paddy at Rs 3100 per quintal and irrigation of 100% farmland in next 5 years. The party has also promised a cash vouchers of Rs 50,000 to women which they can encash in 2 years.
It promised to formulate and enact a state-level education policy, aligning with the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP-2020), within three months of assuming office, ensuring swift progress towards holistic educational reforms . It will also provide legal, medical and engineering courses in Odia.
It will develop an industrial corridor connecting Rourkela, Sambalpur, Paradeep and Dhamra by June 2027 to ensure rapid and integrated development by facilitating seamless multi-modal transport services.
“The BJP is not fighting election to sit in opposition but to form government in Odisha,” said Nadda.
BJP National Vice President Baijayant Panda, state BJP President Manmohan Samal, party leaders like Aparajita Sarangi, Samir Mohanty, Jual Oram, Sambit Patra, Prithviraj Harichandan, Bimbadhar Kuanr and Sudarshan Nayak were present during the release of the manifesto.
