BJP intensifies campaigning ahead of sixth & seventh phases of LS polls

Prayagraj, May 21:  The top leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is ramping up its efforts in preparation for the sixth and seventh phases of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to address two rallies in East Champaran and Maharajganj in Bihar on Tuesday, followed by another public meeting in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Later in the day, PM Modi will engage in a "Nari Shakti Samvad" in his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi.

Arvind Mishra, the BJP's media in-charge for Varanasi, disclosed on Monday that PM Modi will interact with over 25,000 women from various walks of life, including homemakers, doctors, teachers, business owners, advocates, and athletes, during the Nari Shakti Samvad event at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University.

Mishra further revealed that BJP's women workers have been instructed to bring 10 women residents from each booth for the event, while the party's Mahila Morcha functionaries are extending invitations to various social organizations, students, and teachers from women's colleges to participate.

The constituencies of East Champaran, Maharajganj, and Prayagraj are scheduled to vote in the sixth phase on May 25, while Varanasi will go to the polls in the seventh and final phase on June 1.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be in Odisha, where he is set to address public meetings in Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, and Puri. The BJP has nominated Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan from the Sambalpur seat. All four seats are slated for polls in the sixth phase.

BJP President J P Nadda will be active in Haryana and Delhi on Tuesday. He will participate in two roadshows in Rohtak and Jind (Hisar Lok Sabha) in Haryana, followed by a roadshow in South Delhi. Later, he will speak to a rally in Chandni Chowk. While Rohtak and Hisar will vote in the final phase, South Delhi and Chandni Chowk are scheduled for polls on May 25.
