Bhubaneswar, June 12: With the completion of two successful years in the government in Odisha for the first time, the Mohan Majhi led BJP has slated a slew of welfare programs across the state.
Among other co-ordinated development projects, the Capital City Bhubaneswar got an essential road project i.e the wider Ekamra Kanan-Infocity road, well cherished for the denizens.
The newly developed road, which passes through the Infocity corridor and connects IMA to Ekamra Kanan across the city, was inaugurated on Friday by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi, Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, senior officials of the state government, and Commissioner of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), among other key officials.
The new connectivity opened up today, is expected to substantially reduce travel time, enabling commuters to reach Infocity from the CRP Square in about 10 minutes.
The 200-feet road has been designed to ease the growing traffic pressure in the state capital and provide a straight-way alternative route for daily commuters.
Especially, the road will be beneficial for motorists travelling between Jayadev Vihar and Patia, one of the busiest stretches in Bhubaneswar.
Commuters travelling between Jayadev Vihar and Nandankanan in Bhubaneswar are now expected to get significant relief from traffic congestion with the inauguration of the much-awaited new road connecting Ekamra Kanan and OERC area.
