Bhubaneswar, March 22: Following Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s announcement to fight alone in the upcoming elections in Odisha, the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Friday cleared that, it will also go solo.
The party's top leadership vowed to clinch a three-fourth majority acquiring more than 75 per cent of the Lok Sabha and Assembly seats in the state.
In a X post BJD organisational secretary Pranab Prakash Das said, the BJD is fully prepared to fight all Lok Sabha and Assembly seats in the state all alone.
Das through his X exuded confidence that the Naveen Patnaik-led party would win more than three-fourth seats in the state in the upcoming poll with the support of people of Odisha.
Das claimed that Odisha has transformed like never before in each and every sector under the BJD rule.
“With the blessings of Lord Jagannatha and the faith of people of Odisha, BJD has been serving the state and transforming it like never before in every sector,” he said.
“BJD will continue to take decisions keeping people of Odisha in the forefront always and their welfare in true spirit of cooperative federalism and statesmanship required for nation building,” Das said.
The BJD, under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will strive hard to realize the twin goals of New Odisha and Empowered Odisha, the post added.
