Bhubaneswar, Nov 18: The cremation of popular Odia playback singer Human Sagar will be held in his native village Debantapada in Titilagarh, where his mortal remains are being taken early this morning. The 35-year-old singer passed away late Thursday night while undergoing treatment at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, leaving the Odia music industry and thousands of fans in deep shock.

Sagar was declared dead at 9:08 PM, following which grief-stricken fans, supporters, and artists rushed to AIIMS for a last glimpse. The hospital premises witnessed an overwhelming flow of people, and a heavy pall of sorrow hung in the air as news of his death spread.

Around 11:30 PM, his body was transported from AIIMS to his residence in Sector-6, CDA, Cuttack. Throughout the night, prominent Ollywood actors, lyricists, music directors, and singers visited the residence to pay their final respects. His young daughter also viewed her father’s mortal remains.

Although the family initially decided to keep the body in Cuttack until 10 AM today, the plan was altered. At 3:20 AM, the mortal remains were moved towards Titilagarh. Upon reaching Debantapada, the village where Human Sagar grew up, his final rites will be performed in the presence of family members, well-wishers, and grieving fans.
