Bhubaneswar/ Keonjhar, January 7: A new behavioral therapy clinic has been inaugurated in Keonjhar, marking a significant addition to healthcare services in western Odisha.

The clinic, a first of its kind in the region, was launched by Dr. Mahesh Mahanta, Senior Child Specialist, alongside Dr. Nihar Ranjan Rath, Neuro-Psychiatrist, and Dr. Bikash Ranjan Mahanta, Psychotherapist and Mental Health Specialist.

Located at Naba Diganta Primary Care Hospital in Dhurpada, Keonjhar, the clinic aims to provide non-pharmaceutical treatments to patients. It will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, offering therapy focused on behavioral changes to address various health conditions.

Dr. Mahesh Mahanta explained that the clinic specializes in diagnosing diseases and prescribing necessary behavioral adjustments to improve mental and physical well-being.

During the opening event, health experts including Dr. P.C. Mishra (ADMO), Dr. Purushottam Mahanta (ADMO, Keonjhar), Dr. Arun Sahoo, Dr. Madan Mahapatra, Dr. Bharati Mahapatra (Ex-CDMO), and other local physicians emphasized the importance of health habits in disease prevention and management. They highlighted that many ailments can be alleviated by adopting healthier behaviors, including proper diet and lifestyle changes.

Prominent local citizens and dignitaries attended the inauguration, further underscoring the significance of this new facility in the community.
