Bhubaneswar, Feb 24: Tigress Ankita at Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar gave birth to a cub taking the big cat count to 28.

As per reports, Ankita was paired with Mahabal, a powerful male tiger, at Nandankanan a few months back. 

To ensure the cub's safety, zoo authorities are providing extra care and monitoring it closely. Continuous monitoring is being conducted through CCTV surveillance.

This cub marks Tigress Ankita’s third time becoming a mother and with this new member, the total number of tigers at Nandankanan has increased to 28.
