Puri, Mar 9: A bomb threat sent via email to the district judge court in Puri on Monday prompted panic and heightened security at the premises.

Upon receiving the email, police immediately evacuated the court and conducted thorough searches of the buildings and surrounding areas.

Bomb disposal squads, dog squads, and sniffer dogs were deployed to ensure the premises were safe.

The sudden alert caused alarm among lawyers, litigants, and court staff, leading to the suspension of all court activities. Security has been significantly increased in response to the threat.

This is the second such incident in recent weeks; a similar bomb threat was received at the Puri court on February 6, raising concerns about the safety and security measures at judicial premises.
