New Delhi, July 16: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Wednesday announced that over 5.5 lakh Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs), who operate Common Service Centres (CSCs) across the country, will receive free training in Artificial Intelligence.
Speaking at the 10th anniversary celebration of CSC Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), the minister said the initiative is part of the government's IndiaAI Mission, which aims to train 10 lakh individuals in AI technologies.
"All VLEs will be given free AI training. Under the IndiaAI Mission, we have set a goal to skill around 10 lakh people in artificial intelligence, and our 5.5 lakh VLEs will be prioritized in this effort," Vaishnaw stated.
The move is expected to empower grassroots entrepreneurs with advanced digital skills, further enhancing the reach and impact of the CSC network in rural and semi-urban India.
