Bhubaneswar: Aryan Behera of Jajpur and Amruta Priyalaxmi of Khordha with 7.5 and 6.5 points emerged champion in the boys and girls categories respectively in the Odisha State U-13 Open Chess Championship 2025 held at Shree Jagannath Stadium from 8-11 August, Puri.
Swastik Suvam Pattnaik of Cuttack and Shiyam Satyansh of Khordha finished 2nd and 3rd with 7 and 6.5 points respectively.
Amica Dash of Khordha and Nivrita Pattnaik of Cuttack finished 2nd and 3rd with 6.5 and 6 points respectively.
Santosh Kumar Sethy, Deputy Director, Department of Information & Public Relation, Puri gave away the prizes as the chief guest of the closing ceremony.
Among others, Suresh Chandra Sahoo, Vice President, DCAP, Pradyumna Mishra, Secretary, DCAP, Subhash Chandra Sahoo, Tournament Director, Jagannath Singhari, Treasurer, DCAP, Santosh Kumar Mohapatra and SNA Suraj Kumar Moharana, Khordha were present.
