Bhubaneswar, Sep 27: Senior IPS officer Arun Kumar Sarangi has been appointed as Chairman, Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) for a period of six years.
Sarangi has been appointed for 6 years or till he attains 62 years of age whichever is earlier.
A notification in this regard has been issued by the General Administration department today.
Since Sarangi will turn 62 on July 25, 2027, he can remain as OPSC Chairman for 2 years and 10 months, said sources.
He was DGP in-charge till 16th August 2024. He is now posted as Special DG, Training and Director, Biju Patnaik State Police Academy (BPSPA).
