Apple is reportedly preparing a major product refresh for 2027, with a redesigned entry-level MacBook Pro and updated iPad Pro models expected to headline its first-half launch lineup.
Although the company has not officially confirmed its plans, recent reports suggest Apple is actively developing both devices while simultaneously working on its next-generation M7 chip. The tech giant is said to be testing four new iPad Pro variants and designing a revamped 14-inch entry-level MacBook Pro.
Despite the redesign efforts, Apple's roadmap could still change as ongoing supply constraints involving its in-house silicon chips and memory components continue to impact production plans.
The upcoming iPad Pro models are expected to retain the current 11-inch and 13-inch display sizes, with the focus shifting toward improved performance and hardware upgrades rather than a major design overhaul.
Rumours have also suggested that future MacBooks may feature touchscreen displays and Dynamic Island-style cutouts. However, it remains unclear whether these features will be included in the redesigned entry-level MacBook Pro.
Reports further indicate that Apple has already completed development of another entry-level MacBook Pro, internally codenamed J804, which is expected to launch later this year. That model is likely to retain the current design while featuring the entry-level M6 processor.
Looking ahead, Apple is also reportedly planning to introduce a second-generation iPhone Air, the standard iPhone 18, and an upgraded Apple Watch during the first half of 2027.
If the reported roadmap materialises, 2027 could become one of Apple's biggest product launch years, with multiple hardware upgrades across its Mac, iPad, iPhone and wearable product lines.
