Bhubaneswar: The National Under -7 (Open & Girls) Chess Championship 2025 is to be held at KT Global School, Barunei Temple Road, Khordha from 1-5 June 2025. The event is organized by All Odisha Chess Association (AOCA) in association with KT Global School and IIG Sports Academy with support from Ministry of youth affairs and Sports authority of India and All India Chess Federation.

The top twenty players to be awarded with a total fund of Rs. 5 lakhs. The top finisher of each category will be awarded with Rs.50,000 cash award in each. A record is created in Odisha history that a total thirty-four players from Odisha are representing the State in National Under -7 meet. However, for eligibility the player must be born on or after 01.01.2018. The team AOCA is ready to welcome all players, guardians and coaches on 31st May.
The tournament is directed by Debabrata Bhatta, Secretary, All Odisha Chess Association. The Advisory Board Committee members are Satya Ranjan Pattanaik, President, AOCA, IM Rakesh Jena, Vivek Tiberawal. Other members associated for smooth conduct of the event are Ritesh Rath and Abhishek Acharya, Executive member, AOCA, Padmini Singh, Suresh Ch Sahoo, Tapas Ku Mohanty, Jyoti Sankar Nanda, Biranchi Narayan Sahoo and Sambit Swain.
The top seed in the girls category is Ananya Anwesha Mishra of Odisha. Debabrata Bhatta, Secretary, AOCA wishes all players of Odisha good luck for the tournament.
