New Delhi, July 11: The much-anticipated film Tanvi the Great, directed by acclaimed actor and filmmaker Anupam Kher, is set for a special screening at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre. The event will take place in the esteemed presence of the Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu.
Marking a significant moment for the cast and crew, the screening is particularly meaningful for Kher, who described it as an “immense honour.” He noted that the film’s focus on autism and the Indian Armed Forces makes the opportunity to present it before the supreme commander of the armed forces all the more special.
‘Tanvi the Great’ has already garnered international recognition, earning praise at prestigious film festivals including Cannes, New York, Houston, and London. At a recent special preview held at the National Defence Academy and the Southern Command in Pune, the film received a standing ovation.
The story follows Tanvi Raina, a young girl inspired by the legacy of her late father, Samar Raina, a member of the Indian Army. Living with her mother Vidya (played by Pallavi Joshi) and grandfather Colonel Pratap Raina, Tanvi resolves to follow in her father’s footsteps and serve the nation.
The film features a stellar cast including Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swamy, and Karan Tacker. Tanvi the Great is slated for a global release on July 18.
