Bhubaneswar, Jan 24: A violent altercation erupted between two groups near Kelucharan Park in Bhubaneswar’s Chandrashekhar area, leaving one youth severely injured. In connection with the incident, one youth has been taken into custody by the police.

According to reports, the victim, a resident of Damana, was reportedly attacked by individuals from the House Board, allegedly due to a previous enmity between the two groups.

The injured youth sustained severe head and back injuries and was promptly rushed to KIMS Hospital for treatment. In response to the incident, police have intensified their presence in the area and conducted a flag march to ensure public safety and maintain law and order.

Eyewitnesses stated that around 20 individuals had gathered near Kelucharan Park, planning to confront the accused, but the police acted swiftly to prevent further violence. The police have arrested one suspect and are now searching for another absconder involved in the clash.

To prevent any further escalation, police have been patrolling the area in convoys, ensuring the situation remains under control.
