Mumbai, July 5: The upcoming spy universe film starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari now has a title. Titled 'Alpha', it marks the first female-led installment in the franchise. The film's title was unveiled in a special video by the makers on Friday.
In the title reveal video, Alia Bhatt emphasizes, "Greek alphabet ka sabse pehla akshar Aur humare program ka motive, sabse pehle, sabse tez, sabse veer." She describes the city as a jungle where "Alpha will always rule," challenging the notion that only men can be alphas.
Directed by Shiv Rawail, known for 'The Railway Men', and produced by YRF, 'Alpha' casts both Alia and Sharvari as super-agents, presented as the leading figures in the spy universe. Created by Aditya Chopra, the YRF spy universe includes hits like 'Ek Tha Tiger', 'Tiger Zinda Hai', 'War', 'Pathaan', and 'Tiger 3'.
Upcoming films in the spy universe lineup include 'War 2' featuring Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr, 'Pathaan 2', and 'Tiger vs Pathaan'.
