Balasore, Ap 29: Balasore’s FM College is again in the spotlight as serious allegations have been made against the Head of the Odia Department, Santosh Nayak. Following complaints against Samir Sahu earlier, multiple students have now come forward accusing Nayak of inappropriate behavior toward female students.
Students have lodged written complaints with the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), alleging that Nayak sent personal messages and love proposals via WhatsApp, some of which have gone viral. The complaints also claim that the professor deleted messages from students’ phones when confronted and made obscene remarks during class hours instead of teaching.
Students opposing his behavior reportedly faced targeting and backlash, according to the ICC submissions. Nine students have formally complained to the ICC, and a previous complaint had been filed by another student with the Regional Director.
In response to the allegations, Professor Santosh Nayak has been removed from his position as HOD. However, complaints have emerged that he continued sending messages to multiple students even after the investigation began. College principal Dilip Kumar Das has not publicly responded to these developments.
