Bhubaneswar, June 19: Over 100 passengers including Union Minister Jual Oram were stranded at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi for over nine hours after a Bhubaneswar bound Air India flight was delayed due to a technical snag.

As per reports, Air India’s Delhi-Bhubaneswar flight AI-2489 was scheduled to leave Delhi at 5:45 PM on Tuesday. However, it departed after over nine hours at 2:47 AM on Wednesday and arrived in Bhubaneswar at 4:53 AM.

Times of India reported that Union Minister Jual Oram, who was traveling with his family, had to wait from 4:30 PM. He later contacted officials and chose to take a Wednesday evening flight.

On the other hand, many passengers remained at Delhi airport until Air India announced that the flight would take off at 2:47 am.
