Bhubaneswar, May 1: Odisha is poised for a transformative leap in agriculture and technology, thanks to the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI is not only revolutionizing traditional farming practices but is also expected to play a pivotal role in driving the state’s future agricultural growth.
At the recently concluded two-day National Conclave on Cybersecurity, AI, and Engineering Technology held at SOA Campus 2, the Vice-Chancellor of OUAT highlighted the significant role AI will play in enhancing productivity. Similarly, the Director of Andhra University emphasized that AI will not just replace jobs but create numerous employment opportunities across sectors.
Rashmi Mohapatra, CEO of World Skill Center, praised the initiative, stating that AI and cybersecurity industries will generate substantial employment opportunities while fostering industrial innovation. The event also saw participation from industry leaders like Tavin Singh, Founder and CEO of SecureBlink, further emphasizing the collaboration between academia and industry.
Previously, India had to rely heavily on foreign expertise for cybersecurity. However, under the leadership of the Modi government, this dependency has significantly reduced. Going forward, indigenous knowledge and skill development in cybersecurity and AI research and development are expected to take center stage, positioning India and Odisha as leaders in these critical technological fields.
