Kendrapara, Dec 13: A shocking incident unfolded at the Korua Government High School in Kendrapara district, where a gun was found in the pocket of a Class-9 student during a mathematics class.
According to reports, during the ongoing mathematics lesson, the class teacher, Nrsimha Swain, noticed something unusual as one of the students raised his pocket. Upon checking, a gun was found inside the student's pocket. The finding sent shockwaves through the school, prompting the teacher to immediately report the matter to the authorities.
Following the teacher’s complaint, the police from the Kuda Nagari police station arrived at the school and seized the weapon. The student was taken into custody, and further questioning is being conducted at the Korua Orphanage, where the authorities have placed him for the time being.
The incident has raised serious concerns regarding the safety of students and the potential dangers of such weapons being brought to school.
