Mumbai, May 28: Popular television actress Dipika Kakar has revealed that she has been diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. The emotional announcement was made through her Instagram account, where she shared the heartbreaking news with her fans and followers.
In a heartfelt statement, Dipika described the challenging journey that led to her diagnosis. She explained that what started as a routine hospital visit for abdominal pain turned into a life-altering revelation.
“As you all are aware, the last few weeks have been quite difficult for us… walking into the hospital for a pain in the upper area of my stomach… and then finding out it’s a tennis ball-sized tumour in the liver and then discovering that the tumour is second-stage cancer… it has been one of the most difficult times we have seen, experienced!” she wrote.
Despite the diagnosis, Dipika remains optimistic and determined to fight the illness. “I am all positive and determined to face this and walk out stronger, InshAllah! With my entire family by my side and all the love and prayers pouring in from all of you, I will sail through this too,” she added.
Dipika was recently hospitalised following a high fever and persistent pain. Her husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim, has been regularly updating fans about her health condition through social media and vlogs, offering reassurance and gratitude for the support they've received.
The news has prompted an outpouring of love and encouragement from fans and the television industry, all wishing Dipika strength and a swift recovery.
