Bhubaneswar, May 29: Ace Odia litterateur & Media fraternity Dr. Jayanti Rath no more.
Dr. Rath passed away on Friday at 73 in her Cuttack residence.
She was suffering from Cancer who succumbed to the illness during intensive treatment, family sources said.
Dr. Jayanti Rath served as the Deputy Director General/Station Director at Doordarshan Kendra (DDK), Cuttach in Odisha, primarily stationed at the Capital City Bhubaneswar.
Historically operating both from Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, Dr. Rath was a veteran figure in Odia media and public service broadcasting.
Following her tenure with Doordarshan, she has continued her work as a prominent media personality, author, and cultural commentator in the state.
With the demise of Dr. Rath, prominent people from across the state have showered tearful tributes with hearfelt solidarity for the bereaved family members.
