Puri, Sept 8: Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik created a sand sculpture wishing for the swift recovery of Odisha’s renowned music director and singer Abhijit Majumdar.
The artwork, which was unveiled on Sunday at Puri beach, features a message that reads "Get Well Soon Abhijit Majumdar".
It also includes a prayer for his good health at the feet of Lord Jagannath. The sand art also has a special message, urging Lord Jagannath for Abhijit’s speedy recovery.
Abhijit Majumdar, who fell seriously ill, has been receiving treatment at the AIIMS in Bhubaneswar since September 4. The popular music director remains in a coma and is currently on ventilator support.
According to the latest health bulletin, Majumdar's kidney and liver functions have stabilized after treatment. He is under the continuous observation of Dr. Srikant Behera, an ICU and ECMO specialist at AIIMS, and his medical team.
It is noteworthy that Abhijit Majumdar was admitted to the hospital on Thursday due to pneumonia and multiple health complications, including liver issues, high blood pressure, and infections.
