In preparation for the Prime Minister's visit to Bhubaneswar on Tuesday, several traffic restrictions and diversions will be in place between 7 am and 2 pm, or until the PM's program at Janata Maidan concludes.
Key Points for Commuters:
Jaydev Vihar - Damana Restrictions:
Traffic movement between Jaydev Vihar and Damana will be restricted.
Damana Diversion:
Commuters from Damana Square will be diverted via Kelucharan Park and Sainik School towards Acharya Vihar.
Sikharchandi to Fire Station:
Commuters can travel from Sikharchandi to Fire Station Square via Patharagadia.
Cuttack to Bhubaneswar:
Commuters coming from Cuttack will not be allowed to take Nandankanan Road and must use National Highway-16 to reach the capital city.
BPIA to Janata Maidan:
Barricades will be erected on the stretch between Biju Patnaik International Airport and Janata Maidan. All by-lanes will be closed.
No-Fly and No-Drone Zone:
The entire stretch between BPIA and Janata Maidan will be declared a no-flying and no-drone zone.
Schedule: PM Modi Odisha Visit
- The PM is expected to arrive in the city around 11 am.
- Tight security arrangements are in place, with deployment of police personnel, home guards, and CRPF.
- Commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and allow extra time for travel.
- It is recommended to avoid the restricted areas if possible and use alternative routes.
