Cuttack, June 23: A joint public grievance hearing camp chaired by the District Collector of Cuttack was held at Tigiria Block on Monday, where a total of 96 complaints were registered from members of the public.

According to official sources, the grievances included 83 individual complaints and 13 collective complaints. Residents from different parts of the block attended the programme and submitted petitions seeking redressal of various issues affecting their daily lives.

The complaints primarily related to pension benefits, drinking water supply, road connectivity, land and revenue matters, agriculture, rural development, and implementation of various welfare schemes.

Among the collective grievances raised during the hearing, residents of Godi Jharia village highlighted persistent problems in receiving regular and uninterrupted electricity supply. They urged the district administration to take immediate steps to ensure stable power distribution in the area.

The District Collector and other district-level officials heard the grievances and directed the concerned departments to take necessary action for early resolution of the issues. The public hearing programme aims to provide citizens with a direct platform to place their concerns before the administration and ensure timely redressal of grievances.
