90 years of trust, ₹500 crore ambition: Khimji charts next growth phase

Bhubaneswar, Sep 7: Odisha-based jewellery major Khimji Dayabhai Co. Group is marking 90 years of trust, transparency and craftsmanship with an ambitious growth roadmap that targets a ₹500-crore turnover by 2028–29.

The milestone marks a new chapter for the four-generation business as it seeks to expand beyond Odisha, strengthen its premium presence and connect with a new generation of jewellery consumers.

Founded in Baripada in 1936, the Group built its reputation on honest weight, purity of gold and fair pricing. These principles remain central to its business as it transitions from a traditional regional jewellery house into a nationally relevant, multi-brand jewellery enterprise.

Speaking on the occasion, Nishit Nanda, CEO, Khimji Dayabhai Co. Group, said the ₹500-crore target reflects the organisation’s confidence in its brands, people and growth opportunities.

“Ninety years is not just a milestone; it is a celebration of the trust generations of customers have placed in us. Our journey from a single store in Baripada to a multi-brand jewellery business across four generations has been shaped by our commitment to honest gold, honest weight and transparent relationships. As we enter our 100 years, we remain focused on carrying these values forward while embracing innovation and evolving customer needs.

Our 2028 vision includes a ₹500 crore turnover target, expansion beyond Odisha and new high-end boutiques. This anniversary marks both a celebration of our legacy and the beginning of new chapters, as we continue to build a nationally relevant jewellery house while staying true to the promise with which we began: trust first, transparency always,” Nanda said.

The 90th-anniversary celebrations include campaigns highlighting the Group’s legacy and customer relationships. Its “Carrying Forward the 90-Year-Old Legacy of Transparency” campaign features real customers and their stories, while “24-Karat Transparent” draws a parallel between the purity of gold and the transparency embedded in the Group’s business philosophy.

The next phase of growth is also being driven by two brands: YOULRY.COM, a digital-first jewellery platform catering to younger, digitally native consumers, and ARNIKA, a premium jewellery brand combining contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship.
